 Learn Online

We’ve teamed with experts from around the world to provide motivated activists with the opportunity to take courses in our online learning environment.

If you’re a motivated activist in the Middle East, you’ve probably wondered how you can learn more about activism in a convenient way that adapts itself to your schedule. Now you have the unique opportunity to take free and paid e-learning courses from the Online Activism Institute!

These courses will give you the tools to help you succeed in your activism goals.

Learning Options

You have a few different options for taking a course:
  • Teach Yourself: Take a course on your own, at your own pace and without an instructor. Our Create Your Activism Plan course is offered in a self-paced online version to registered site users, who can use an exclusive online plan builder to write a plan to reach their activism goal, save different versions of it both online and to their computer, and more. "Create Your Activism Plan" is also available to download in PDF format, along with our other courses.
  • Partner with a Mentor: Have you already completed an activism plan? Then you can submit an application for an hour-long one-on-one session with a mentor of your choice. You will use virtual conferencing software to meet with your mentor online to discuss your activism goals, and your mentor will give you expert, personalized advice on the best way to reach those goals. If there is a language gap between you and your mentor, a co-mentor will be available during your mentoring session to provide translation.
  • Join an Instructor-Led Course: Depending on availability, you may be able to take the George Washington University Leadership Development course with a group of students in an online setting, under the instruction of Professor Kathleen Schafer.
